PANEL 1:
The entire ceiling erupts into a breathtaking 3D projection: the solar system spinning overhead — the blazing sun at its centre, Mercury, Venus, a vivid blue-green Earth, and red Mars wheeling in their orbits. All three boys stare upward, even Zane momentarily awestruck.
PROFESSOR: "LUCI — show me a projection of the orbits of Mars and Earth over time."
PANEL 2:
Close-up on the solar system projection overhead. Earth and Mars highlighted, their orbital paths traced in glowing lines. Kwame's hand is thrust high in the air, practically vibrating with enthusiasm.
PROFESSOR: "Who can tell me what it's called when the planets are closest together?"
KWAME: "Opposition, Professor! And it happens every 26 months!"
PANEL 3:
Zane leans back in his chair with theatrical boredom, whispering to Xero. Both snicker.
ZANE: "Feels like I've been stuck in this lesson that long already."
PANEL 4:
The Professor, now animated and excited, holds up a tiny model spaceship — barely the size of his fist — against the backdrop of an enormous, beautifully painted globe of Earth on the table.
PROFESSOR: "This… is our spaceship."
XERO: "I don't think we'd fit in that, sir."
PANEL 5:
The miniature spaceship buzzes through the air on remote control, looping gracefully around the model Earth. The Professor's tongue pokes out in concentration, controller gripped in both hands.
CAPTION: The Professor skilfully navigated the little ship around and around the model Earth in an orbital pattern.
CAPTION: For a moment, it was almost elegant.
