I have a broad range of web development skills, ranging from systems administration to XHTML coding and keen interest in creating highly usable innovative user interfaces. The majority of my technical expertise is focussed around open source development and LAMP technologies. As shown in my experience above I have commercial experience with Object Orientated PHP5, MySQL, JavaScript (jQuery is my library of choice), CSS and XHTML.I also have commercial experience of MVC frameworks such as CodeIgniter and CakePHP.

I’m familiar with UNIX, Linux and Windows environments. With keen attention to detail I conscientiously hand-code and develop websites that are cross-browser/platform compliant and adhere to the W3C standards and accessibility guidelines.

I’ve got over 8 years experience of creating projects large and small – from company brochure websites, to social networking sites. I’ve worked for Government Departments through to sole traders.

I’m the Technical Director at 18a Productions Ltd, in Bristol, where I do much of the front and back end coding on our work, largely building sophisticated bespoke web applications for web start-ups. My past roles have included being Technical Director of a sector-leading online marketing company, specialising in affiliate marketing, and being a software engineer at a email software company.
